Who are we raising money for?

Beam are the first online platform that crowdfunds employment training for the homeless and disadvantaged. The platform flexibly removes financial barriers and provides a support network for Beam members to get into sustainable work.

Beam works with members referred from partnering charities and the council, relying on donations from the public to help individuals reach their budget and begin the necessary training which will kickstart their career.

Since their launch less than a year ago, Beam have raised over £140,000 and have helped over 30 people to start training, with 8 people now in work.

Why we’re getting involved

Here at Concilium, we pride ourselves on our core values being at the foundation of everything we do, and we are passionate about providing our clients and candidates with a service that is built on trust and support. As we grow, we are continually looking for ways to grow our presence within the community and give back to the causes that speak to us. When we learnt about how Beam has helped so many people turn their lives around from homelessness to full time careers, we were truly inspired and motivated to spread awareness.

As a recruitment firm, we understand the importance of getting individuals into the right career. We are dedicated to exceeding our candidates’ expectations by working tirelessly in finding them the best role.

How we’re getting involved

To raise money and help Beam to continue their exceptional work, we’re putting our Concilium staff through their paces and sending ten members of staff to complete the Tough Mudder challenge (https://toughmudder.co.uk/mud-run-london). We’re taking on the challenge to help as many people as possible get back into the workplace and thrive in their career.

At Concilium, we place health and fitness at the core of our business. We’ve always found the attributes of resilience, competitiveness and teamwork to be, not only vital in sports, but also integral to becoming a successful consultant. So, we’re challenging each team member to outdo their colleagues and complete the challenge as fast as possible, all in the name of fundraising!

The fundraising that the team members are doing will directly help the homeless people on our platform to change their lives in a long-term, sustainable way.
