Description

My client is an exciting and innovative start-up medical devices company that has recently received significant series-C funding and is setting up a brand new sales force in Germany for the launch of a new product line.

This position will be responsible for selling our client's new Hemostat product which is used to promote hemostatis and wound healing in surgery, and will report into the National Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Build key customer relationships and execute strategies for expanding the
company’s customer base
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with the relevant Key Opinion Leaders
• Responsible for developing new prospects and establishing customers
• Utilize sales tools, resources and supporting analysis to plan activity. Analyse
territory information to optimize routing and achieve sales results
• Pre-call planning to identify sales opportunities and meet health care professionals' needs
• Taking great care in building and maintaining the CRM system (SalesForce.com)
• Calling on (prospective) customers, providing up to date technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations. Training and educating physicians and hospital staff on the use of the products. Foster ongoing trust
• Maintain a good understanding of the cardiac, abdominal and ortho-spine markets, competitors and challenges faced by today’s sales force
• Execute brand strategies to ensure a consistent company sales and marketing
message
• Monitor local market conditions for changes that impact business
• Provide feedback to superiors on market place trends, challenges, programs,
response to promotion and product access
• Collaborate with National Sales Manager to establish goals and implement plans to enhance current skill sets and sales results. Actively pursue continuous learning and professional development on efficient sales, communication & product knowledge training
• Provide periodic sales forecasts and other metrics to the organization
• Represent company at all major trade shows / workshops
• Ensure business ethics is in line with laws and company policies at all times
• Must be able to work autonomously to achieve established goals
• Achieves prompt, mutually satisfactory solution to customers’ complaints
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
• Represent the interest of the company at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 3 years of relevant medical device /
healthcare sales experience within an operating room environment as well as
experience managing a large geographical territory
• Individuals must live within the territory or be willing to relocate to it; familiarity
with posted territory strongly desired
• Thorough understanding of the needs/analysis approach to sales; consultative
selling
• Extensive experience in complex sales projects in a hospital OR setting, with large
DMU’s on the customer side
• Experience in and knowledge of the hemostasis market is preferred.
• Procedure knowledge adequate to illustrate convincingly the benefits of the
Company’s products
• Ability to discuss the various products in relation to the human body; basic anatomy
knowledge
• A demonstrable record of accomplishment in executing successful sales programs
and new product introductions. Proven and successful track record in bringing
disruptive technologies to market
• Effective communicator with logical, organized and tactical verbal, written, listening
and presentation skills. Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills
• Technical knowledge in Orthopedics, cardiac and abdominal
• Already established relationships with KOL’s and customers is preferred
• Smart negotiator, strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities
• Understanding the industry trends and competitive strategy outlook in order to
identify opportunities
• Bi-lingual, at least proficient in English
• Must be able to travel extensively within the region
• Must possess and maintain a valid drivers’ license and a driving record satisfactory to
the Company. Driving records may be monitored on an annual basis or as needed
